The Crafty ladies group meet every Monday (excluding bank holidays) from 10am until 12:45pm to do crafts such as crochet, knitting, decoupage, painting and much more. This is a self-led group therefore each participant is required to bring their own craft as they wish. New members are always welcome. The group charge €2 per day and tea/coffee is provided.

LOETB
Portlaoise FRC and LOETB work in partnership to deliver Community education courses and classes. Previous courses completed are Quilting/patchwork, cooking on a budget, and mindfulness. To enquire about community education, contact 0578686153.
Groups in partnership with HSCL
Portlaoise FRC in partnership with Scoil Bhride and Portlaoise college deliver groups and courses to parents and families. Previous groups and courses include, Cookery, Art and craft workshops, Candle making workshops, personal development, Art Classes and parent information workshops.
Groups in partnership with SCP
Portlaoise FRC in partnership with the School Completion Program aim to deliver activities and classes to children in primary and secondary school in Scoil Bhride and Portlaoise college. Programs include the school’s out program, Girls club, boys club, girl talk project and friends for life program.
Parent and Toddler Group
Portlaoise FRC runs a very successful parent and toddler group every Monday from 9:30-11:30. This parent and child focused group aims to support parents and children through play, art and craft, outdoor play, music, dance and storytelling. The group charges €2 per session and tea/coffee and snacks are provided.
FRC Groups
The FRC delivers individual groups to the community and wider Portlaoise. Check out our Facebook page to be kept up to date on what’s happing in the centre monthly. Groups previously completed include, A mosaic mural project, Mosaic workshop, personal development, mindfulness, and wellbeing, Flourishing families and many more.
